Featured characters: Emilia and Trevor
This was something I wrote just for the sake of writing - so it was more of an exercise in writing than an attempt to tell a complex story. I have a lot of AUs for these two, and this is one of them. It's a very quiet world where the two of them lead very normal lives, but I'm aiming to build complex and interesting relationships throughout this story. There will be more characters eventually, but for now it's just these two.

Featured character: Vanus
This one is a little harder to follow if you don't know the lore of the Pathfinder campaign I'm in, but I'll try to summarize the important parts. Vanus is a psychic in a country where practicing arcane magic unlicensed is highly illegal—like, "Vanus would be put to death if he were caught" illegal. Because of this, he lies to others and claims to be a divine caster, and he only uses his magic when absolutely necessary.
Also, for lore reasons, some people (like Esperanza, for example) have a very legitimate reason to be wary of arcane casters.

Featured character: Vanus
This was the first thing I ever wrote about Vanus—it was intended as a character study to help me understand what I wanted to do with his character before the start of the Pathfinder campaign I created him for.
Fun fact: I turned this in as my final project for a contemporary literature class I was taking at the time. I got a 93% on it! My professor said this piece was convincing him to read more social science fiction, and I rode the high of that compliment for days LOL.

Featured character: Wyr'asa
This was written towards the end of my first Pathfinder campaign—shortly before the party set off to face the campaign's final boss, Vex. The first time Wyr'asa wrote a letter like this to Langhorne was when he was only, like, level 6 or so? So a lot changed between the two letters. Character development, baby!

Featured character: Wyr'asa
This was written after the party returned to the material plane after defeating the Eternal Worm (long story). Wyr'asa witnessed a lot of cruel and needless death while in the Abyss, so his time in Lostside was a sort of reprieve despite the massive struggle he knew was approaching.

Featured character: Wyr'asa
This was written while the party was in the Abyss, looking for Farsend after it had disappeared from the material plane. They found Farsend, and, well, it was a fucking bloodbath. This was written while Wyr'asa was still in the Abyss, after he'd reunited with the rest of the party.

Featured character: Wyr'asa
Some context for this one: At this point in the campaign, Wyr'asa was preparing to sacrifice his life in order to resurrect the minor deity Kin in order to save an entire forest and its people. Obviously, Wyr'asa didn't end up dying—he instead sacrificed his druidic powers. But, at the time of him writing this letter, he fully believed he was going to die.
